Our ensembles rehearse at Plainwell Community School's campus, primarily at Plainwell High School. We are very thankful to Plainwell Community Schools for their continued support of our program!
Vortex Percussion:
Friday: 6pm - 9pm
Saturday: 9am - 9pm
Avalanche Winterguard:
Tuesday: 6pm - 9pm
Sunday: 12pm - 3pm
Cyclone Winds:
Monday: 6pm - 9pm
Wednesday: 6pm - 9pm
Saturday: 9am - 4pm
While these are the times our ensemble meet together, members should expect to dedicate significant time between rehearsals to practice and refine the content given to them.
Each ensemble has it's own 2026 membership dues:
Cyclone Winds: TBD
Avalanche Winter Guard: TBD
Vortex Percussion: ~$1200
Membership dues help cover the cost of instruments, equipment, costumes, props, instruction, design, rehearsal spaces, travel accommodations, and administrative expenses such as insurance and circuit registration fees.
A deposit, specified in each ensemble’s contract, is required to reserve your spot.
Our administrative team works diligently to manage expenses and keep dues as reasonable as possible. All members are expected to pay dues in full and on schedule, as operational costs continue to rise and we invest in new equipment and resources to support the ensemble’s success.
For members who cannot pay in a single payment, due dates are scheduled throughout the season, and flexible payment plans may be arranged individually. We also offer several fundraisers throughout the course of the season to help members offset costs.
PSPA does not offer housing during regular weekend rehearsals. Each year, many members travel to attend rehearsals. Once ensemble positions are finalized, our administrative and leadership teams are available to help members coordinate housing or carpooling when needed.
Housing is provided by PSPA for any out-of-state travel.
Of course they can! We’re thrilled when parents and family members are willing to volunteer their time to support our PSPA groups. Typical ways to help include:
maintaining props and equipment
coordinating fundraising efforts
transporting and loading/unloading equipment at shows
Any time or assistance from friends and family is deeply appreciated!
Joining a PSPA ensemble is a meaningful commitment. Members are expected to prioritize all PSPA rehearsals and performances, always acting in the best interest of their respective ensemble. Exceptions are limited to family or medical emergencies, funerals, or school obligations that were scheduled before signing your contract and cannot reasonably be rescheduled.
When conflicts do arise, open communication is essential!
