In 2019, founders C. Owen Rushford, Amanda Swetich, and Steve Swetich recognized the desire for an additional opportunity for their students during the winter season following marching band. From this vision, Perfect Storm Performing Arts was created—an organization dedicated to bringing the beauty and excitement of the pageantry arts to the Southwest Michigan area.

Our mission at Perfect Storm Performing Arts is to provide community, performance opportunities in the pageantry arts, and a commitment to excellence through inspiring staff members, performers, and affiliates. While competitive in nature, we pride ourselves on emphasizing educational and artistic experiences that enhance our members’ literacy in the performing arts.
